Waymo Says Driverless Cars Cut Injury Crashes by 82%

Waymo says its driverless cars had 82% fewer injury crashes than human drivers over 271 million miles through June in Atlanta, Austin, Phoenix, Los Angeles and the Bay Area, with 95% fewer serious-or-worse crashes. The comparison uses human crash rates for the same areas, and the figures come from Waymo itself.
