Crown Prince Christian acts as regent during King and Queen's holiday abroad

Crown Prince Christian, 20, is acting as regent — the stand-in head of state — while King Frederik and Queen Mary are on private holiday abroad. The Danish royal palace confirmed the arrangement. The King and Queen had attended the Carlsberg Foundation's 150th anniversary at Frederiksborg Castle on 25 September 2026.
