Google plans to launch Gemini 4 well before year-end

Google plans to release Gemini 4, its flagship AI model, much earlier than year-end, DeepMind lead Koray Kavukcuoglu said in his first press appearance in the role. The model is in early post-training refinement, the tuning stage after initial training. Google has not released a flagship model since the Gemini 3 series in November 2025.
