Syria's al-Sharaa Back at UN Ahead of Sept. 23 Speech

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa returned to New York on Sept. 22 for the 81st U.N. General Assembly, according to Syria's state news agency. He attended the opening session. He is due to give Syria's speech in the General Debate — when leaders address the world — on Sept. 23 and meet other leaders, a sign Damascus wants normal diplomacy.
