EU-China Goods Gap Widened to €36.5 Billion in July

The EU's goods deficit with China hit €36.5 billion in July 2026, or €1.18 billion a day, up from €32.2 billion a year earlier. Imports were €3.10 for every €1 of exports. The January-July gap reached €234 billion, up about €21 billion. October's Beijing trade meeting will test that trajectory.
