Europe's Trade Gap With China Grew in July

In July 2026, Europe bought €3.10 from China for every €1 it sold there. The shortfall was €36.5 billion, or €1.18 billion a day, up from €32.2 billion a year before. January to July, it totaled €234 billion, up about €21 billion. October's Beijing trade talks will test what comes next.
