Lib Dems' big tech levy for online crime agency

The Guardian said on 20 September the Liberal Democrats would place a levy — a tax — on technology companies to fund a £250m agency to tackle online crime. The Guardian said the party confirmed the plan on 21 September ahead of its autumn conference in Brighton on 19-22 September.
