Rockstar bans story-altering mods ahead of GTA 6

Rockstar Games has updated its modding rules ahead of GTA 6 to ban mods, fan-made additions that change play, that expand or modify official storylines, plots, missions, characters or continuity. The prohibition is set out in its official guidelines, as reported by Eurogamer.
