MPI links weight-loss drug demand to open-ocean fish farm push

Fisheries Minister Shane Jones met industry leaders and MPI officials in Wellington to discuss open-ocean fish farming. MPI strategy director Chris Kerr said weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy, known as GLP-1s, are lifting demand for high-quality, nutrient-rich protein, with two billion more people to feed in 25 years.
