Sydney Woman Sentenced Over Excessive Self-Defence Killing

Nirmeen Noufl, 55, was sentenced 18 September 2026 for killing husband Mamdouh Noufl in their Greenacre, Sydney home in mid-2023. Prosecutors accepted excessive self-defence — she was being choked but used disproportionate force — and she pleaded guilty. Jailed since October 2024, she received three years minimum to six years nine months maximum, with parole due October 2027.
