Sydney woman sentenced for killing husband in excessive self-defence

Nirmeen Noufl, 55, was sentenced 18 September 2026 to three years minimum, six years nine months maximum, for killing husband Mamdouh Noufl in excessive self-defence in their Greenacre, Sydney home in mid-2023. She pleaded guilty after prosecutors accepted she acted while being choked. With time served since October 2024, parole is due October 2027.
