Sydney Woman Given Prison Time After Fighting Back Too Hard

Nirmeen Noufl, 55, was sentenced 18 September 2026 for killing husband Mamdouh Noufl at their Greenacre, Sydney home in mid-2023. Prosecutors agreed she was being choked and fought back too hard, and she admitted guilt. Jailed since October 2024, she must serve at least three years, up to six years nine months, and may leave prison in October 2027.
