Lav Diaz brings two projects to Venice, a decade after his Golden Lion

Filipino film-maker Lav Diaz returns to the Venice Lido with two projects at the 83rd festival: 'Let Us Through, Dear Ancestors' premiering in Venice Open — Out of Competition, and 'An Entry Into the Sadness of a Portuguese Woman' pitched at the Venice Gap-Financing Market seeking completion funds (Variety, 7 September 2026). Diaz won Venice's Golden Lion with 'The Woman Who Left' in 2016.
