Good Deed Entertainment Acquires Chess Documentary 'Grandmasters,' Sets October 11 AMC Release

Good Deed Entertainment has acquired "Grandmasters," a Liza Mandelup-directed chess documentary, and will release it nationwide at AMC locations on October 11, per Deadline. A Boardwalk Pictures production with support from Chess.com, the nonfiction feature chronicles entrepreneur Jan Henric Buettner and world champion Magnus Carlsen launching a rival chess league. It premiered as a series at Tribeca on June 7.
