Jenna Ortega says she went entire days on set without food or water as a child actor

Jenna Ortega told Harper's Bazaar's "How I Got Here" series, published 11 August 2026, that as a child actor she would go all day without eating or drinking on set because she "wanted so badly to not be in the way of anybody." She called "not actually looking after myself" her biggest mistake from that period, Variety reported on 12 August 2026.
