Police didn't realise selling meth pipes has been banned for a decade

It has been illegal to sell or bring in meth pipes since 2014, under the Misuse of Drugs Act. A paper prepared for Health Minister Simeon Brown, released after RNZ asked, found police, shops and the public barely knew about the ban. Police had earlier told RNZ the pipes were not specifically illegal, pointing to the wrong part of the law.
