Apple Maps Data to Help Power Ford's Hands-Free Driving

Ford will use detailed road data from Apple Maps to improve BlueCruise, its system that lets drivers take their hands off the wheel on certain roads. The two companies announced the deal on July 23, 2026. Apple called it their first partnership for self-driving tech, notable because Apple previously canceled its own self-driving car project.
