Ford picks Apple Maps to power hands-free driving, starting with a $30K electric truck in 2027

Ford will build Apple's mapping technology directly into its next electric vehicles, starting with a $30,000 midsize truck in 2027. Apple's map data will help Ford's BlueCruise system drive the truck from one point to another with little human input by 2027, and reach eyes-off driving by 2028. Ford is Apple's first car-company partner; deal terms were not disclosed.
