Ford picks Apple Maps to power next-generation BlueCruise autonomy, starting with $30K EV truck in 2027

Ford will embed Apple's MapKit for Automotive — a native SDK separate from CarPlay — into its next-generation EVs, debuting with a $30,000 midsize truck in 2027. Apple Maps data will feed Ford's upgraded BlueCruise, targeting "point-to-point autonomy" in 2027 and eyes-off driving in 2028. Ford is Apple's first automaker partner; commercial terms were not disclosed.
