U.S. Treasury Expects $618 Billion in Borrowing Through December
The U.S. Treasury expects to borrow $618 billion between October and December 2026. That is $10 billion less than its August estimate, per Reuters. The figure is new debt sold to the public, after old debt is repaid. Plans for each bond sale arrive at 8:30 a.m. Eastern on November 4. The change is small against the total program.
