Microsoft Forecasts Faster Cloud Growth Than Analysts Expected
Microsoft expects its cloud service, Azure, to grow 49% to 50% in its fiscal second quarter, a three-month reporting period. That is above the 47.6% estimate from professional analysts, compiled by data firm Visible Alpha. Azure grew 48% in the prior quarter, when Microsoft Cloud sales reached $63.9 billion. This is a company forecast, not a reported result.
