Amazon raises its spending forecast for 2026 by $20 billion to about $220 billion
Amazon now expects to spend roughly $220 billion on computing infrastructure in 2026, mostly for its cloud unit AWS. That is $20 billion more than its earlier forecast of $200 billion. Part of the increase reflects higher prices for memory chips, which store data. Amazon expects to spend meaningfully more in 2027. Shares fell about 6% after hours.
