A Desk Candle That Makes Its Own Flame

Kevin Bates built a desk candle that creates its flame as it runs, using a tiny computer chip. The 10-inch device uses a small artificial intelligence program, trained by watching a real candle, to light 144 amber LEDs in a 9-by-16 grid. The flame never repeats, according to The Verge. It costs $149.
