$300 Billion in Company Loans Comes Due From 2028
Companies owned by private equity firms owe $300 billion in loans due from 2028, the Wall Street Journal reported October 27, 2026. Those firms, which buy companies with borrowed money, are racing to push back deadlines. What each delay costs depends on higher interest, stricter lender rules and fees. Dow Jones places the loans in 2028 and 2029.
