Block Unveils Dessa, a Talking AI Trained on Human Speech Alone

Block has announced Dessa, a talking AI that the company says was built from nothing but human speech. Its official page calls it "the world's first AI you can have a realistic live conversation with." Early access for a small group of AI safety researchers is planned. No public release has been announced.
