Laura Owens sentenced to one month in jail and seven years' probation over false pregnancy claim

Owens, 36, of Scottsdale, Arizona, received one month in jail and seven years of supervised probation on Oct. 23 in Maricopa County Superior Court. Owens pleaded guilty in August to four felony counts over falsely claiming pregnancy with Clayton Echard's twins. Probation comes with a warning: a breach could mean more than 15 years in prison.
