Barclays Cut About 5,000 Jobs in 2023

Barclays cut about 5,000 jobs in 2023 as part of a push to spend less, much like a household cutting back, Reuters reported on 8 January 2024. That is more than the up to 2,000 cuts Reuters reported in November 2023, when the bank was still working out a plan to save up to £1 billion.
