Researchers run powerful AI using 15 ordinary TV boxes

Anthropic researchers ran Google's Gemma 4, an AI with 26 billion settings, by splitting the work across 15 Android TV boxes. Like friends each carrying part of a heavy load, no box could do it alone. Together they ran the full system without a large datacenter.
