Florida Puts James Robertson to Death for Prison Killing

Florida put James Robertson, 63, to death Oct. 13 for killing prison roommate Frank Hart in 2008. Spokesman Jordan Kirkland said the three-drug needle at 12:32 p.m. at Florida State Prison in Raiford worked without problems. Robertson said he killed to get a death sentence, admitted guilt, and ended court appeals Oct. 5. It was Florida's 17th execution in 2026.
