Florida executes James Robertson for 2008 cellmate murder

James Robertson, 63, was executed at Florida State Prison in Raiford on Oct. 13 for the 2008 murder of cellmate Frank Hart. Spokesman Jordan Kirkland said the three-drug lethal injection at 12:32 p.m. occurred without incident. Robertson pleaded guilty, saying he killed to receive a death sentence, and withdrew appeals Oct. 5. He was Florida’s 17th execution in 2026.
