U.S. Promises to Help Japan Investigate Killing in Okinawa

America's chief diplomat Marco Rubio told Japan's chief diplomat Motegi Toshimitsu on Oct. 10 the U.S. will fully help the murder inquiry. Lance Cpl. Devin Jacob Ballard, 20, a low-ranking Marine, was arrested Oct. 4 on suspicion of robbing and killing Anna Yagi, 39, in Naha. He denies it. Most of Japan's 18,000 U.S. Marines, sea-and-land troops, are in Okinawa.
