Rubio Pledges U.S. Cooperation in Okinawa Marine Murder Investigation

Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu on Oct. 10 the U.S. will fully cooperate with Japan's investigation into the alleged murder in Okinawa. Lance Cpl. Devin Jacob Ballard, 20, was arrested Oct. 4 on suspicion of robbing and murdering Anna Yagi, 39, in Naha. He denies the allegations. Okinawa hosts most of 18,000 Japan-based Marines.
