Older Man Shoots Off-Work Immigration Officer After Lawn Attack

Police say a 72-year-old man at a central Fresno home shot David Gonzalez — a federal immigration officer who was off work — once in the stomach about 3 a.m. Oct. 9. The man's daughter found Gonzalez sleeping on their grass. Police say Gonzalez then attacked the daughter and father, and the father shot fearing for their safety.
