Weak '123456' Password Behind Large Danish Data Breach
At least three accounts at Pays, a technology company in Funen, used "123456" as the password when attackers got into Denmark's Central Person Register, the central file of residents. Using that real entry point, they could see names, home addresses and personal ID numbers for about 8.8 million people. The password detail was reported Oct. 10, 2026.
