Delhi says no to protest over voter lists, closes 60 subway stops

Delhi police refused an Oct. 10 gathering at Jantar Mantar, Delhi's protest ground, by the Cockroach Janta Party and student group AISA over names removed from voter lists, like a guest list for voting. Thousands of police and backup forces deployed under a 37-point safety plan. Trains cancelled, 60 subway stations closed. The protest targets Gyanesh Kumar, India's election official.
