Thailand's Queen Flies a Fighter Plane Alone

Thailand's Queen Suthida flew alone in a Gripen fighter jet — a fast military plane — on 8 Oct 2026, the Royal Household said. The 41-minute trip took off from Surat Thani province in southern Thailand, while King Maha Vajiralongkorn watched from the ground. She had finished Royal Thai Air Force lessons to learn to fly that plane beforehand.
