Ohio Blog Owner Found Guilty for Sending Rude Shrek Picture to Senator

A Lake County jury found Donald "D.J." Byrnes guilty on Oct. 9, 2026 of harassment by phone message, a minor crime, for texting Ohio Senator Jerry Cirino an edited nude Shrek picture with political insults in May. The owner of the Rooster blog, who said it was free speech, was fined $200 plus court costs.
