Apple May Let You Control Home Gadgets by Holding iPhone Close

Apple home devices made with LG would offer 'Proximity Control' using NFC, a short-range tap connection, according to an Oct. 9 leak reported by The Verge. Holding an iPhone nearby would show controls in the window atop the screen. It would use the common smart-home language but work only with Apple's home app. Clues date to iPhone software version 27.0.
