Nikon has disqualified Dr. Ning Xu's first-place Small World in Motion entry, described as airway cilia — tiny lung hairs — in a child with PCD, a rare breathing disorder, for violating generative AI rules. The video is off Nikon's site. Nguyen Nam Nhat is now first. Nikon says this is not a judgment on Xu's reputation, work, or intent.
