Ethiopia Says Eritrea Invaded Its Northern Tigray Area

Ethiopia says neighboring Eritrea has fully invaded its northern Tigray region, in an 8 October letter to the UN Security Council, the UN group that handles war and peace. Foreign Minister Gedion Timothewos called it open aggression giving Ethiopia the right to fight back. Eritrea denies this and blames Ethiopia. It follows cut ties and new fighting with the TPLF.
