Early sign US stocks may open a bit higher

S&P 500 futures up 0.3% and Nasdaq 100 futures up 0.5% on Oct 9, 2026, Bloomberg reported. Think of futures as an overnight preview of how stocks might open. For ordinary savers and retirement pots, I read it as a calmer start after heavy selling, but that preview can still change.
