Conservatives double price of climate plan by mistake

Kemi Badenoch's 100-page Conservative conference paper The Right Way puts reaching net-zero — stopping extra heat-trapping gases — at £957bn. The Climate Change Committee advisers put it at £478bn in their Sixth Carbon Budget plan. Climate site Carbon Brief says the paper added the totals row twice, like counting a receipt total again. Correct figures are needed to judge.
