Conservative paper doubles net-zero cost in tally error

A Conservative conference paper from Kemi Badenoch puts the cost of net-zero — balancing emissions produced and removed — at £957bn, double the Climate Change Committee's own £478bn figure in its Sixth Carbon Budget. Carbon Brief says The Right Way, a 100-page document, seems to have counted a totals row twice. Corrected numbers are needed to judge the claim.
