Japan Stocks Slip Less Than 1%

Japan's Nikkei, a basket tracking big Japanese companies, fell 648.27 points, or 0.92%, to 70,035.71 on Oct. 7, 2026, Mainichi reported. That is less than $1 lost per $100, but sounds big because the total is so high. In my view for retirement savers, it is normal wobble, not a read on Japan's economy.
