Treasurer Jim Chalmers will let people keep paying their tax bills by credit card until the end of June, a six-month delay with extra money to keep the system running. Tax Office boss Rob Heferen announced a 1 December stop on 1 October, saying card fees cost almost $200 million a year. Small businesses complained loudly.
