Chalmers to delay ATO credit card ban until end of June

Treasurer Jim Chalmers will delay the ATO's planned 1 December ban on credit card payments for tax bills by six months until the end of June, with extra funding to keep it open. Commissioner Rob Heferen announced the ban on 1 October, citing almost $200 million a year in costs. No surprise; small business howled.
