French Students Say They Will Keep Protesting Despite Promises

French high school students blocked school entrances and marched in Lille, Rennes, Nantes, Lyon, Toulon, Marseille and Paris on Oct. 8, 2026. After 10 days of protests over missing teachers, packed classes and old, run-down buildings, they say they will keep going. Student union leader Ryad Rani said government promises had no real actions.
