Abbas Delays Palestinian Vote to 2027

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on October 10 postponed legislative elections — the vote for parliament — from November 28 to September 11, 2027, citing worsening conditions. It would be the first such vote in 20 years. If that date slips, it could undermine confidence in a planned presidential election also set for September 2027.
