Atari Taking $219.99 Preorders for Remake of Old Home Computer

Atari and Plaion are taking $219.99 preorders for THE 800XL, expected to ship in April 2027. It is a close copy of Atari's all-in-one 8-bit home computer, like a vintage radio rebuilt with new parts. It keeps the clicky mechanical keys and built-in Atari BASIC starter software, but connects to modern TVs with HDMI.
