
National would spend $604m more on medicines by cutting overseas aid
National says it would spend an extra $604 million on new medicines, RNZ reported. Pharmac is the government agency that buys medicines. National would pay for it by cutting aid to other countries, to fund medicines and cancer checks. Coalition partner ACT leader David Seymour looks after Pharmac as associate health minister.
